Mexicali’s robust railway links central and northern Mexico to the vast California rail network. As an extension of this system, Baja shares access to every destination these railways reach. The planned Punta Colonet project will further enhance connectivity by adding direct rail service between Ensenada and Mexicali.

Punta Colonet Multimodal Terminal, Colonet Bay (Bahia Colonet)

Expands rail and port infrastructure for transporting commercial goods within the state of Baja and into the US.

Otay II Border Crossing Tijuana – San Diego

A new entryway connecting the US and Mexico for both passengers and cargo. This access point will be the first border crossing to utilize a variable toll system for managing transit demand and reducing congestion at other ports of entry.

Hydrogen Export Terminal

A private investment project to transport ammonia for clean hydrogen production through a maritime duct export terminal system across the US border. The available hydrogen by-products will become an energy source. This establishes Baja California as Mexico’s pioneering state in clean hydrogen with exports planned to Asia.

Trolley CBX, Tijuana – San Diego

A mass border crossing mechanism that expands the San Diego Trolley system to the San Ysidro port of entry. Currently in the exploration phase.
